Campcatch: Campsite Alerts
Privacy Policy
Last updated 13 October 2026
Campcatch: Campsite Alerts is made by Himansh Raj ("we"). This page explains what the app collects, why, and your choices. The short version: there is no account, no advertising, no tracking, and we never sell data.
What stays on your iPhone
- The campgrounds and dates you watch.
You can delete it at any time by deleting the app.
What reaches our server
Our server keeps:
- The campgrounds and dates you watch, stored under a random ID made on your iPhone (not your name or email), so our server can check for openings. Removed when you delete the watch; watches switch off on their own once their dates have passed.
When you buy or renew a subscription, Apple sends us a signed record of that purchase (which product, when it started and when it renews or ends) together with a random code the app creates. It contains no name, email or payment details; Apple keeps those. We use it to confirm your subscription and to keep the records consumer law requires (for example, proof of the terms you agreed to). We keep purchase records for 3 years after a subscription ends.
Other services involved
- Recreation.gov (public availability data only; we never send them anything about you).
Payments
Apple processes every payment. We never see your card or Apple ID details.
Tracking and ads
The app contains no advertising, no analytics SDKs and no tracking across other apps or websites.
Your rights
Wherever you live, you can ask us what we hold about you, ask us to delete it, or ask a question by emailing support@himansh.in. If you're in the EU, UK or California you also have rights under the GDPR, UK GDPR or CCPA; we honour them for everyone. Because we hold so little, most requests are answered in a day.
Changes
If this policy changes, we'll update the date above and, for meaningful changes, tell you in the app.
